Well I ran out of my last can of car wash soap powder. It was about 10 years old.
Now about all I can find are liquids.
Any TBN recommendations? I need to wash my cars at least annually or they turn green.

Idk about a powder.. but if u want it to shine like a diamond.. try Johnson’s baby shampoo, the no-more tears brand..

I use Chemical Guys concentrate liquid myself. Powder in NLA far as I can tell.

Why not the liquid? I have hard water so don’t often wash at home but I’ve had good luck with just about any of the liquids.

I never knew about the “no more tears” shampoo until a detailer told me about it..

When I had my truck ceramic coated a couple years ago they told me to use Dawn dishwashing liquid

I use Maguires when pressure washing the cars. Very sudsy, smells good, tends to dry too fast and leaves soap residue, don't do it when it's very hot and in the direct sun

I used to be able to buy Simoniz cold/hard water wash that dried spot free, can't find it any more

A little bit of this stuff in a pail of hot water works great when hand washing the motorcycles. Not very sudsy but dries spot free. Excellent results on the metallic matte paints, headlights, mirrors, windscreens. Takes bug goop off well.

I'm a foam cannon person myself. Foam cannon with Chemical Guys concentrate.

Generally it’s a bad idea NOT to use Dawn or other dish soaps. They will strip any wax on the car off. If you want to remove wax like before your going to wax your car and you want to start fresh Dawn is good.
