Would love to here from you! Narrowing down choices for the first new and probably only new tractor I'll ever purchase. I've been looking at the MX5200, but the 5660 looks like a much nicer machine for not a whole lot more money.

Deoending on your task, go with the 5660. I had a 5100 and traded to a 7060. The 5100 is a good tractor but it not very heavy if you have loader work to do. The 5660 will be a lot more comfortable too.

I traded for a M5650, however they have not delivered it yet, I expect it Monday or Tuesday. They are installing extra hydraulic remotes for the rear and a 3rd function valve for the loader. They are also filling the rear tires with fluid, adding rear wheel weights and a quick hitch.

This a nice tractor but I don't have much experience with it. I was looking at the MX5200 but liked the specs on the loader of the M5660 better as it lifts about 700lbs more then the MX loader. The hydraulic shuttle is nice along with the 8 speed synchronized transmission and I think I am going to like this as well as my old L4610 hydrostat. I wasn't getting the warm fuzzy feeling with the MX, tho I am sure it is a great tractor. The M5660 just seemed to fit what I needed better and came with accessories that were options on the MX.

Also purchased with the tractor was a new loader mounted hydraulic angle snow blade and a 6' 3 PT. Land Pride rotatory brush mower. The tractor will pull a bigger mower but a 6' will allow me to get in between trees better and mow ditches easier than a wider mower. This tractor really impressed me for an economy, special utility tractor, I will review it when I get a few hours on it.

Let me know how it works out Dozernut! Not in a big rush to purchase, may be spring before I move on one. Still considering a Branson 5220R. Lot less money but the Kubota will be a better tractor for me in the long run.

Picked up a M5640 in the spring and was also considering the MX series. Since the main purpose of the 5640 was going to be pulling a bushhog - I ended up going with the 5640 just because of the simple fact that it was bigger and more capable of pulling a larger cutter. Went with an 8' cutter and seems perfect. Very hilly where we are.

Bought M5660 SUHD with 3rd valve to use with 10 different skid steer attachments - big mistake - cannot see any thing related to these attachments. The big fat hood blocks view for hooking up and operating all attachments. Try before you by.

M5640SU is about the simplest quality built tractor you can buy, no crap on it.

I looked at one about a year ago and almost bought.

I looked at an M5660SU last fall, it is basically a smaller version of a M7040SU BUT has DPF on it.
