Ive been seeing a lot of ads for this deal, 3 pack of "race" jugs, with a battery pump included. Finally clicked on one of the ads, and $40 for 3 5.5 gal cans isn't bad, and the pump is included. Curious if anyone has them.

Don't have one, but it looks like a scam to me. A cheap 5.5 race can on Amazon goes for about $35 or $40 for just one and without the pump. As the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I agree the quality of those jugs is likely poor. I did buy one of those battery pumps and it's OK for some situations, but I don't use it much because it's not very fast.

That's gotta be a scam for that price. I bought one of those yellow VP Racing 5.5g cans off the amazon machine a month ago for $35 and thread-on hose/spout kit for just under $7. The can is really nice quality. Not sure on the hose pour spout yet as I haven't used the can yet.

IMHO, once you give your credit card number, that’s were the problems start!!!

I might consider a deal like that if it were through a reputable retailer that accepts returns. That way you could send it back if it turned out to be crap. Otherwise I'd pass.

I have a bunch of old gas cans around with busted spouts but still close properly. I bought just the pump, similar to the one shown in the ad, and it's been working fine for many years with the cans I already have.

Don't know about that deal but I do have that pump, works but about 2 gal/minute./Better than lifting a full 5 gallon can.

Years ago I had a similar pump for kerosene.

I did go ahead and place an order, I'll report back. Im thinking the cans are likely not every heavy duty, but I was needing a new diesel can...

The pump, if i recall, used 2 D batteries or something, which i didn't normally have laying around?

It's a pain finding reasonably priced "D" cells today. I have a very good flashlight that uses four of them. I use four "AA" cells, held in place by some plastic pipe of appropriate diameter and length. Still lasts over a year before getting dim and I don't have to throw away batteries that haven't seen much use. Works for me.
