Any good sites for pole barn plans?

Looking to build a basic pole barn for horses and to store my tractor. I want to build it myself but not sure where the best place to buy lumber, metal siding, poles etc. Also i probably would do better if I could find some plans to follow atleast in regards to framing, pole size and such.

The Canada Plan Service has tons of different plans. I've actaully spent the better part of this morning looking at a number of them. They do take a while to download.

Some good inexpensive books from BAM should set you up on the layouts, spacing etc.. materials............i used colored galv on a few, got it at a good price and used sawmill lumber on the rest.....if around a sawmill can have them cut your purlins also....was alot cheaper then the big bame lumber suppliers

I built my own, first I bought a book, " How to build barns and out buildings" by Monte Burch, less that $20. There is some plans in the book, but more important for me was basic barn building methods. Once I had some more exact information on the steps involved for my choosen materials, and the building codes for my area, barn plans were easy to come by. I found that buying a kit customized for my use and requirements was the cheapest way for me.
