Just want to put in a plug for the Hill Country Antique Machinery Show next weekend--June 28, 29 & 30. It's located in Central Texas, 2 miles east of Stonewall, Texas, on U.S. 290--just across the road from the LBJ ranch (now state and national parks). This is the 17th annual show and it's gotten bigger and bigger. There are acres of antique tractors and old stationary engines. There will be tractor parades, tractor pulls, a working antique saw mill, food and drink concessions, a working blacksmith shop, flea market, etc. The club is restoring a huge Cooper-Bessemer engine which was rusting away in a field in east Texas; it's almost done and hopefully will be running at the show.
