For my 2210, the owner's booklet says to use JD Coolguard Antifreeze. Elsewhere, the booklet says to use antifreeze on a 50/50 ratio that is designed for aluminum engines. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what specific brands of antifreeze might be acceptable other than JD? The antifreeze right now is "green." Is the "green" antifreeze used in older cars all right? (The antifreeze in my 2008 auto is "red.") Also, does the overflow tank need to be above the lowest mark? The radiator is full, but the overflow tank is at "low." Many thanks. . . .

You should use a diesel-rated AF with the proper additives in it to prevent cavitation, these are called DCA's. The JD AF already has it in there and it does not cost significantly more than any other.

If you don't purchase premixed antifreeze use distilled water to dilute the full strength stuff. Tap water varies in the pH and mineral content that may cause problems down the road.
