anti-scalp roller sleeve?

Does anyone know of a replacement sleeve that covers anti-scalp rollers on mower decks? My rear center steel roller (7 inches wide) has just about lost all of its black (plastic/polyurethene?) sleeve due to wear and tear over the years. I figure a new sleeve will cost a lot less than replacing the entire roller.

Are there sleeves on the roller now?

I'm curious how a sleeve could be fitted over a worn roller, without machining down the worn part to fit the inside diam of the sleeve.

Help us out here a bit, please.

I'm speaking of the cylindrical roller mounted rear center on the mower deck. There is a front roller and a rear roller, plus the four anti-scalp wheels at each "corner" of the deck.

It's like a conveyor roller. It's seven inches wide and about three inches in diameter. The roller is made of steel and there's a hard black plastic "sleeve" that covers it. Sleeve is about 50 percent gone. I can actually grab what's left and rotate it around the roller.

If my description still doesn't help, I can snap a picture tomorrow.

A picture would be great, and the brand name of what you have would be great too.

Do you have a replacement price for new? Will help to know how that sleeve is held in place on the steel, and maybe the picture will show that.
