Anti-Rust Product

Is there a product on the market that I can purchase that I can spray on, hopefully aerosal can, that I can apply to painted surfaces that helps fight the formation of rust? I want a product that doesn't stain painted surfaces or collects dirt. I just want to be able to apply it and know that it is helping prevent rust!

If it's painted then the metal is already protected. If the paint is not protecting anymore it might be time for a respray or maybe a good wax job.
