Another unfortunate tractor rollover

A Grove City man was killed when the tractor he was operating rolled over onto him.

Stanley Ice, 49, was cutting grass at the Pardoe Sportsman's Club in Findley Township, Mercer County, around 8:30 last night. The tractor he was operating slid off the edge of a pond dam and rolled on top of him, pinning him with a rear wheel, state police reported.

Thanks for the reminder, Rocky. I am always trying to get the wheel as close to the edge of our dam as seems comfortable, and it's good to remember the consequences of misjudging the margin of safety on that operation. Also sounds like there must have been no seatbelt/ROPS combination; however, if I rolled down the dam I'm not sure those appliances would matter too much.
