Another shaker in the Mojave

As you probably heard on the news there has been another shaker in the Mojave. About 150 miles from us. It was a light shaking for about 10 seconds.

News saying 6.4 and to except couple good after shocks.

6.4 is quite heavy I thought, we get a few about 60km from us and about 15km deep, enough to rattle the windows and get the dogs howling.
Last one we had I thought was heavy trucks passing then realised there was no traffic.

In Virginia in 2011 I had just finished the new deck on our waterfront place, and stretched out for a nap on the deck. Wham! A big earthquake hit just then. I decided the nap was a bad idea.

I was born in southern California but have managed to be out of the state for all the big earthquakes.

I was just reading about this, they are warning about potential for a big one.

Watching the morning news and it is making headlines now, few buildings on fire (according to the media).

It looks like they got hit harder yesterday, hopefully it was the last one.
