OK, there are two Kubotas, same price with different dealers, the L2800 and the B3200, with HST and 4WD. Very similar, on paper the B3200 has a bit more power than the L2800 but the L has the bigger body style, etc. Which one should I go with?

Thanks for the advice, and I apologize for all the rookie questions!

I looked at both and since I need to mow, I'm going to order the B3200 a little later this spring. Plus, a lighter machine (800 pounds less than L2800) will help in the mowing. Of course with the MMM, you gain back some of the weight. If you don't need it to mow, consider the L2800 for better ground engaging.

What do you need/plan to do with it? What's your jobs?

Yes, the first question is what do you plan to use it for. Also be careful how long you wait to get the new tractor. The 0% finance rate for 60 months is back for now. You might also want to check is there is going to be a price increase as the years goes on. The dollar is not getting any stronger. Just look at the rising price of gas.

As I mentioned in your other post, you can not put a mid mount mower (MMM) on an L2800. You could use a rear finish mower or rotary cut mower though. If mowing your yard is a priority, I would choose the the B3200 with a MMM. If you do not plan to do that and want to do a lot of mowing with a rotary cut mower, I would choose the L2800 as it has the position control instead of the 1/4" valve and the extra weight of the tractor will help you with the ground engaging equipment including FEL work or box blade more than a little extra HP will.

I am mowing about 3 acres of horse pasture, and will move sand/dirt for horse stalls and other projects. The stalls are big, so getting the L series in should not be a problem. At some point I need to redo a driveway, but the main priorities will be mowing the pasture, stall maintenance and manure/sand loading.

Thanks again for the help gang! Getting closer to purchasing one, just want to make the right decision. I don't want to be underpowered, but also don't want to go broke!

From what you describe a B3200 would be more than adequate. Sit on them both and see which you like best, I doubt for what you are doing you would see and advantage in the L2800.
