I am one of the un-lucky owner of a Compact Track Loader. It was purchased for our personal use on farms that we have in IL and KS. (Removing sprouts from pastures) I do a small amount of custom work clearing noxious trees and bushes from pastures for neighbors. I purchased my first new one (PT 100G Forestry) in 2010 and had more down time than up time. I encountered every problem known to all you other owners that have listed their problems on this and other similar sites. The dealer was great but 4 hours away. They lost money, I lost money, the cure to keep themselves out of court was to sell me the newly released PT110G Forestry version at a greatly reduced rate. Took delivery in May 2013. I found many loose clamps, bolts, fittings etc when I did my full day review after receiving it. I made sure to document all my issues as they occurred. It was unbelievable what they sent from the factory to the dealer. It took a year to put 500 hours on it. It was supposed to be a reliable machine. It was another lemon just like the PT100. I have had again every imaginable failure on the PT110 that you guys have documented here. Blown o-rings, missing o-rings, blown hoses, track rollers falling off, low lifting pressure, charging system blowing fuses, burned oil in the planetary drive on the right side. AC pump falling off twice...2 new radiators as a result. Drive fault errors. Attachment securing pin problems. There is more but isn't that enough? It has taken me 18 months to put the 999.7 hours that were on it when the engine now develops a knock. Perkins is waffling on the warranty work. From day one I accelerated the service intervals (They recommend changing the engine oil every 250 hours??? Please.) It has never run a mulching head or jack hammer. It has put up some rolls of hay, been used on a low impact Marshall Tree Saw, and has run a high flow brush mower for approximately 28 hours. Also some light dirt and rock placement around our lake. It has never run reliably enough for me to ever even venture off to KS and work on the cedar tree infestation that we have on our place there. As well there are no dealers in that area if I would have made it there.

Sooo...anybody else out there considering one should read this. I am tired of hearing from them all this time that I am the only one with the problems. BS! Spend an hour on this site and you will know all there is to know about the lack of reliability. I am building my case and gathering evidence at this time. I would gladly pay your attorney's fees for any of you that would step forward with your ownership experiences and sign affidavits. Right is right and wrong is wrong. I/We have pushed us all around quite enough. I have instructed the dealer to leave it intact and have the manufacturer come pick it up when they deliver the next new customer's headache. We are stopping making the payments on the unit as well. Going tomorrow to get my personal effects out of it and get my hauling truck and trailer back. They now advertise (Terex Launches Next Generation of Skid Steers, CTLs サ Print | Better Roads) that their newly released line called "Gen2" has "more than 100 enhancements above previous models. There wasn't any trouble in them finding them either! Many thanks for your time and consideration!

Kind Regards,

Disgruntled Owner #???

Wow, seems like Terex really killed ASV's reputation. I have a 2006 RC100 which is getting old, but I don't like what I'm reading here. Maybe I'll put more repairs into the RC100 until a better machine is created by Terex or someone else.

Thank you for posting your experience with details.

I don't own one of these, but you would think for this kind of money spent on these type of machines,
there would be a better Quality Control on these. I've always liked the Terex's, I ques newer isn't always better. Good luck with your endeavor.

I am very sorry to hear about your experiences. I considered an RC50 but didn't get it too to bad reviews. If I were you, I would just get rid of the 110 and get a 287D Cat or if you aren't partial to the MTL under carriage, a Kubota SLV90. Both awesome machines, and I have not heard anybody having trouble with the Kubota.
