Another Cruise Control problem

My cruise control sometimes would'nt work. I read all the threads and brought my tractor to the shop....turns out there was break (open) in the wiring that was not visible which was located where the wiring entered the magnet. I figured I'd add this one to the list. What puzzles me is how that occured....wondering if there is a design flaw somewhere. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Those magnets are garbage. I have seen a replacement magnet fail after one week. Purchased from the lowest bidder, no doubt.
