Another 1610D Owner!

I traveled out to Barnett Tractor Co. in New Market, AL. To look at two 1610D units today. It was kind of like trying to decide which twin sister you want to take to the prom.

Both were in very good shape, and Larry was very patient while I drove around in circles in front of their shop. He was very helpful, and took plenty of time to answer all of my O&M questions.

I unloaded it at the bottom of our driveway. I didn't want to deal with bringing the trailer all the way up, and was eager to see how it would handle the steep grades. A cold and bumpy ride, but fun none the less.

I had some trouble getting it started. I was below freezing, and I still need to learn the art of cold weather start up.

I appreciate all the help from everyone on this forum, and from all the friendly dealers I talked with. Thanks.

(Floridaboy, don't hurt yourself on that thing! Maybe I can learn from your mistakes too/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif).

Congratulations on your own new toy. I hate like hell to look stupid in front of others /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif but ya gotta learn./w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif I know I am enjoying myself. I even had to learn how to take my rfm loose from the tractor.

Today I will explore my brakes. Ialready have a request from my brother in law who lives just down the road to come over and help clean up his yard with my tractor./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif He is the same brother in law who laughed when I told him I was going to buy the tractor in the first place. I told him that he bought a boat that just sits in his yard. I bought a tractor. We will see which one gets the most use over the next year.
