Does anyone know where this bugger is located??? Sounds like it's under the dash somewhere but it has evaded my detection so far!!!

I think you are referring to the parking brake beeper. I like having the beeper. It prevents me from taking off with the parking brake on and reminds me to set the brake when parking the tractor. The first time I heard it I had started backing up and thought it was a back up beeper. Then I realized it was telling me the parking brake was on. I like being able to start the tractor without being in the seat. The only thing I have to get used to is if the tractor is idling with the brake off and you want to move the tractor an inch or so by reaching in and moving the fwd. or rev. pedal the tractor senses you are not in the seat and shuts it down. That is a good feature that will prevent the tractor from running you over but I used to do that all the time on my previous tractor when hooking up a 3 pt. implement. If your beeper is going off with the brake released the adjustment / switch is under the cover by the parking brake.

I know, Made for safety. I grew up running this when i was 6 years old. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...John_Deere_720_.jpg/800px-John_Deere_720_.jpg No beepers, No warning lights, No seat switches, Just common sense. We used to put it in 1st gear with the hay rack behind and jump off to pick rocks. I know, "unsafe" but i'm sure i was taking more risk in the silo with silage gas after filling. Been on a few dozen different tractors since and ran heavy equipment for 20 years. Nobody but myself or my wife runs my equipment. That **** seat switch pissed me off the 1st day. I was mowing and leaned forward off the seat to watch close where i was mowing and the tractor quit. Took care of that problem already...............

See my previous post as to switch location. Don't blame me when you need new brakes after finding out you've been driving around for X number of hours with the parking brake on.

My tractor won't move with the parking brake on. No worries there. My New Holland didn't have a warning beeper and i never had problem.

On my Mahindra there were a few times I forgot to release the brake before taking off and wished it had a beeper or at least a dash light to remind me it was on. I got used to the beeping real quick along with the big red "P"arking light on the dash. I figure it will take a few hundred hours for the tractor to break me in. (or is it the other way around)

Your running a Hydro if i remember correctly. The Hydro takes much of the "feeling" out of driving so i could see why you could take off with it on. When i let the clutch out i know right away.........

You are correct. It never dawned on me that you didn't have the hydro. When I see you have the XR3037C I just figured you had hydro and forgot to add the H. I don't even have a clutch.

I do too much mountain mowing for a hydro. I'm only on flat ground about 50% of the time and every hydro i have ever run seems weak on hills.LS had done a VERY nice job with the clutch and transmission. I guess it's what your used too. I'm looking for another stick shift to replace my automatic plow truck too. I can put more power to the ground with a 5 or 6 speed. The auto in my 92 F250 sucked for plowing last winter......................

I plowed with many trucks for over 35 years. Everything from a 44 military jeep with a 5' plow to pickups, 1 1/2T stake racks, dump trucks, all the way up to an Oshkosh with wing plow. I sold my own pickup plow truck 10 years ago. I had to many people and friends who would ask me to plow then never pay. It got to be too much hassle going to small claims court for a few hundred bucks. Still have a pickup but no plow. That's why I have my tractor, loader, snow pusher blade. Now when people call for plowing I tell them I don't have a plow truck anymore but do have a tractor. About halfway through the season after they have stuck some other guy for non payment they call me to bring the tractor to move their snow. I give them a price and tell them they have to pay cash up front or the tractor doesn't move. I get paid every time now. I'll really enjoy the heated cab this coming winter.
