thanx guys for your input on my previous question on orange or blue, it was really appreciated.
So anyway i (plus my wife) test drove a TC45 HST on wed and was sold straight away i couldnt believe i was considering anything other than HST, so [censored] easy. I couldnt get a TC35D here in Australia only 12x12,so i had to go up 5 HP if i wanted the HST; They only import the 40D and 45D and another bummer was that NH australia dont import the 16LA loader, so the only option at present was a locally built FEL which i passed on. Apparently they have plans to import the FEL in the second half of 2001, so i'll have to wait till then. Also ordered a 5' outback rotary slasher, Ag tyres, 45Kg's front weights (as the slasher is 300kg's) FOPS canopy and double acting remotes for the FEL when i get it. The total price was $31 845 incl 10% sales tax. Thats roughly 15000 USD at current exchange rates.

Justin thanks for the lesson in Australian currency. Thats quite a bit of difference in currency value with 10% tax to boot. I'll stop whining about our tax rate, at least for a little while. I think you would like the loader that comes with the TC 40 and 45. It will be worth the wait. Although its odd looking to be sure, it also fits the tractor well. Best of luck and enjoyment with your tractor. Rat...

Hey Justin,

Glad you settled on a machine. I think you'll really like your new tractor. We weren't kidding about the HST were we? Strange that the 16LA loader is not imported. Do they import the 17LA loader? I imagine that it would still fit even if you lack supersteer. Just one last thought. I have a 6 foot slasher. It sticks out beyond the rear wheels. Makes it a lot easier to cut near fences and such. In any event you are in for a lot of fun.

Hey Thomas
yeha iam really looking forward to it being delivered. At present that date is set down at the 22 Dec so Father christmas comes early this year, shame he wont have room for anything else, with the tractor being in the sack (wife not entirely happy about that). But surely what else could a woman want for Xmas ???

Sure thing i wil get some pics posted next but it will have to wait till i get back from holidays, i live in the city and have a mango/pecan nut orchard about 5 hours drive away.

-2 hey thats gotta test a tractor no doubt about it , The weather has been really hot here recently around 30 C dont ask me the F conversion :)

as far as living near the university ...iam just wondering which one you mean .. i live in sydney and there are about 7 uni's from memory

have a good day

Yes thats right rat grass is always greener on the other side as they say, Our laughable currency is now refered to as the "asia paso". PLus can you believe the people actually voted for a political party which ran on a platform of higher taxes AMAZING!!
anyway ive had my gripe for today

Justin

PS yeah i was really impressed with the spec's of the NH loader , cant wait till it arrives just hope NH make good on the deal, but we all know what these Multi national corporations are like

Peter- I actually feel like a kid again waiting for Xmas to come its bizzare :)
Iam really glad you guys recommended the HST iam just happy that i happened across you very knowledgable group of people. On the question of loaders no they only import the smaller 7308 i think it is .. (for the TC33 and down), not sure i can work that one out my dealer is slightly bemused as well. Perhaps you guys can get an answer from NH over there in the good ol US of A. :)
As far as the slasher is concerned i called my dealer after reading your post and he assure's me that the 5' is offset beyond the width of the rear wheels to allow for the jobs you mention. Also the 6' was 500 "paso's" more :)

Till next time

Justin
