Tractor
ford 1710 4x4
Just got a ford 1710 4x4 tractor with 965 hours on it. has a 770 loader and a bradco hoe. Hoe was bolted to the rops with some bad engineering, worked for years until the bolts got loose and broke the rear axle housing. got it for $5,200. fixed it for another $500. Seems the yards know how hard it is to get parts for these. Any who I am a big beleiver in amzoil and wondered if it would be good to switch? Tractor runs great and want to keep it that way. Seems once these motors go you need a mint to redo them.

That is a good question. With the very few oil changes I do I wouldn't mind spending a little more for a little more longevity.

My gut feeling though is that the Ford oil from the dealer is just as good. I am anxious to hear some info on this.
