Amazing Guitarist

That was great. I really like his incorporation of percussive technique. Reminds me a lot of the style of Tommy Emmanuel. That man can dominate a guitar.

Great video.

This kid ain't bad (even with a broken string)...

Okay, it's my brother :D...but it's St. Patty's day and we're Irish...and he really ain't bad.

I agree. It's as though he was given the instrunent and had no idea how it was traditionally played.
He, like Tommy Emanual is one with the instrument. It's as if it is an extension of his body, part of him if you will.
No doubt the result of staggering ability and thousands of hours of playing.

Not sure if you were commenting about my brother, but you dammn well described him to a "t". :drink:

Great stuff.

My brother used to play some nice 12-string stuff, always enjoyed it.

Very nice indeed. Oddly, I only count 11 strings on this guitar. Perhaps someone with a better monitor can see the second G string.

 Helll, I went to elementary school with this one...and had my mom mix up our names.

not his fault

Actually, the sound is pretty **** good, turn up your hearing aid. There's not any low end, but I'm surprised at the sound quality from what I'm guessing is a flip-cam or similar.

I've got a decent sound rig for my computer, but nothing special, and the guitar sounds great...again, no low end whatsoever.

You must not have a clue about guitar stuff.

An old thread, but I remembered it last night when for some reason I thought of one of my favourite guitarists who toured with Gordon Lightfoot. It is not as dramatic as the previous videos in this thread, but I always enjoyed Shea's unassuming, clear style. Here is the one that made me think of this thread:

A bit of Shea's style is shown around the middle of the video and at the end.
