Re: Kubota in Need of Repair???
Jim, I sense a little hostility in your tone, step back, take a deep breath, repeat after me ahhhhhhhh ummmmmm. There, don't we feel a bit more relaxed? I think the post about Kubotas not needing repair was made in general and refering to "repairs needing to be done at a tractor dealership", not those that can typically be done by most backyard mechanics. I also think most of the tractors fall into this category including your beloved BLUE tractor. Some folks may have the dealer pick up the tractor, check the fluids, grease the zerks, etc, but I feel most folks on this forum do that themselves. Failure of external parts like alternators, hoses, fan belts etc. can happen to all makes, all models. It is unlikely that either Kubota, JD or NH is going to have a catastropic failure in the transmission or engine when the tractor is subjected to normal use. I think it would behove one to buy based on brand loyalty only, stupid actually. I also think its pointless to point out why what one has is not as good as it could be or that something else is better. The TC 18 sounds wonderful for you, you don't have to convince me you made the right choice. You have taken alot of ribbing about your choice in tractors, you have answered back in spirited and comical ways. I have enjoyed reading your answers.
I hereby nominate JimBinMI for the BLUE RIBBON AWARD, (BRA) I believe you deserve it. All those in favor say "Jim gets the BRA", or perhaps since this ribbon is pinned to ones chest, you could say "Jim wears the BRA" Rat...
