alternator for f/p 2425

Noticed a slight knocking sound i hadn't heard before. Shut tractor down & opened hood. Found alternator had a couple of fins missing at pulley. Looks like it vibrated a bit but still charges battery. Anybody had this problem before? No dealer wty if needs replacing. Where to buy if needed?

My Jinma 354 is also missing a few fins on the alternator. I have no idea when or how it happened, for all I know it could have happened in shipping. It doesn't seem to affect the operation so I decided to just leave it be for now.

Sounds like an opportunity to upgrade to a Delco-Remy 10si internally regulated alternator. Late 80's GM - should be more reliable and parts or replacements easily available.

Based on sales activity, I'd say the chinese alternators are decent, we sell very few, probably have too many in stock.
