I remember years ago some of the old gas tractors had another fuel tank for kerosene. You would start the tractor on gasoline and then after it warmed up you would open the spigot on the kerosene tank and close the spigot on the gasoline tank. I am wondering, if anyone remembers how well those gas tractors ran on kerosene and if anyone has ever tried running a gasoline tractor on Naptha or any other kinds of alternative fuels? I'm just curious how well they ran and what your results were?

The old start on gas run on distillate engines worked pretty well, but they were designed for it.

With the price of gas being what it is I am thinking of starting up a still. for fuel only /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif At least for heating fuel., guess I could load the tractor tires with it too, and have a party if one springs a leak.
