I also agree with KiotiJohn. I usually check the radiator about every 3-4 rounds when in weeds over the tractor. I collapsed the rings in a good Jublee Ford about 30 years ago by trying to push that situation to the limit. Be careful--Ken Sweet

Charlie,I did the same exact thing a year ago on my DK40 when it had about 100hrs on it,mine actually boiled over before I woke up.
I've got more than twice the hrs. on it now and it shows no signs that I did it any harm or good for that matter,****! it probably toughened it up.
By the way I'm not too far from you,wasn't Shane Conlin (Buffalo Bills) from Frewsburg?.....Mike

Yes ,
Shane was from Frewsburg. I believe he is down around Pittsburgh now. I think in the restaurant business.

Yes, there are screens on the grill and a prescreen in front of the radiator.
But when brush mowing high field grass with seed/goodenrod Etc. they can still plug up and cause the tractor to overheat..
