All things Olds

Many years ago I raced a stock car class Nova on a dirt quarter mile. It had to be all GM. So for the rearend I pulled an Olds Cutlass wagon's rearend. It didn't have the u clips that caused everyone to lose their axles along with wheels and brake drums on the other GM products. It was like a Ford in that I could tack in the retainers and if an axle broke all that happened was I lost the drive from that side.

We have a 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada that my wife loves.

If you happen to have a photo of the AC Bristol please post it. Was that SCCA racing?

Yes... it was. The Bay area had lots of racing activities in the 50's and early 60's... He also won his division at Pebble Beach with it and a Mt Diablo Hill climb a time or two before they were no longer permitted.

I will have to look for a picture... I have an issue of Hot Rod Magazine that featured his car... it was called the Mongoose because it ate Cobras for lunch...
