Hello All,
Just wanted everyone to know that I just went to NAPA auto and bought lots and lots of oil;
1. 10 gasllons of AW-32 hydraulic fluid
2. 5 gallons of GL-5
3. 2 gallons of Delo and filter for Engine
4. Fuel Filter

Now, how do I keep from making a huge mess of everything? I just spoke with the Napa folks and they will only recycle the engine oil, what do you guys do with the rest.?
When I change the hydraulic oil, what is meant by the hydraulic lift box? I read the post from Gunslinger101 on how to do the fluid flush and he says how to drain the hydraulic fluid, removes the return line off the lifter box snd then fills the box with fluid and then runs with the return line off until clear fluid emerges, Can someone help me to better understand where these lines and box is located? Is he talking about my loader FEL box?

Do I need to flush the Engine as well?

Thanks in advance for you help
Rick

The lift box is the big square under the seat where you add hydraulic oil. The fill is behind the seat, painted red, the drain , sitting on the seat, right side, its a pipe that points toward the back with a hex cap bolt in the end.The return line is just forward of the drain, metal line with a big bolt thru it.
you can flush the engine, but DO NOT START THE ENGINE you could cause bearing failure if you do not know what your doing.
Don't know what to tell you about getting rid of the used oil, your in Calif. they shoot people there for polution (kidding).
I have a furnace that burns used fluids in my shop, but thats no help to you. I would call around, trucking companies and the like have to get rid of oil other than motor oil, there has to be a service out there.

Thanks Gunslinger, That helps a bunch, I will attempt the changing/flushing this Weekend.

My manual really sucks, how can I find all the drain plugs and fill locations on my Jinma 304?
Does the transfer case and creeper box have a dip stick?

Thanks again,
Rick

The trans dip stick serves the trans, rear, transfer box and creeper gear box.
The front axle drain is on the center front diff. box, points to the front, also out at the front wheels on the bottom of the turning knuckles is a drain on each side.
The trans drain is a big bolt head about center left to right and toward the rear end also there is a drain for the trans where its lower toward the front, right where the front drive shaft hooks to the trans the drain plug is on the left side, like under the tractor even with the dash board area it is a smaller drain plug.

If your current oil is still the china factory oil, it is all the same 30wt. The tranny, axle, and hyd oil will be the same as your engine oil. You should be able to have NAPA take it. After this change, I don't know /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Here in NY, oil is oil, and it all goes into the same recycle tank.

As far as staying clean during the process, not likely. All oil changes are designed for you to bond with that particular machine. As with any long-term relationship, it will get to hear a few choice, spur of the moment, words. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif It is just part of the relationship.

Here in Northern California, the landfill takes all the oil, fuel, etc for free (well you do pay the lanfill fee $6.00).

In florida the Auto Parts stores will take any type oil that you give them. They recycle it by running it through a coursse mesh screen to romove large globs. Then they sell it to our local Mc Donalds restaurant to be used in making the greasy fries!

Just Kidding

Our recycler said any oil no gasoline, paint thinners, solvents, etc. very small quantity of diesel would be OK, but that is mixed in with 200 gallons of used oil. we throw away a lot of new chinese oil here, I bet the reccyler likes it, not full of metals as used oil would be... If you mix your hydro with gear oil, it should give you something that would pour like engine oil anyway /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Of course as John S said, if you are dealing with original factory fluids they probably all the same anyway.
