2009 Mahindra 3316 HST-2008 Mahindra 7010 cab - 2004 Mahindra 6000 4X4
What a trying time for me. I own 3 Mahindra tractors and all 3 have been out of service lately. The clutch finally went south at 900 hours on the 6000 and it's been over 2 weeks now since I've been able to use it. Currently it sits split apart at the dealer waiting on the correct clutch. The new 3316 HST with 60 hours had a leaking loader cylinder so I took it in to have the dealer re-pack it only to find out that replacement parts aren't avaiable yet for those cylinders. It's been about 2 weeks now since they decided they would warranty the whole cylinder, but I still do not have the cylinder. As I mentioned in a previous post the 7010 cab had a cracked wheel which has since been replaced. I'm having trouble figuring out why it would take Mahindra or the dealer over a week to get a clutch for a 6000 and a loader cylinder for a 3316. It sure bites to have $50,000 worth of equipment sitting idle with another chickenhouse going up. I have until April 20th to get the plumbing into the building and need the backhoe to do so. Looks like I'll have to pay someone else to dig the ditches.

Not good, not good at all.....sorry to hear about the tractors...I'm sort of scratching my head here about the 6000 clutch going at 900 hrs...when did you notice it slipping, etc. Have you seen the one taken out??? Which clutch (driveline or PTO)? BobG in VA

This sounds like a dealer that got your money and now doesn't care.
Isn't the 3316 loader still under warranty? We as dealers know that if it is still in warranty it is a remove and replace not a repack.
If my customer had a bad cylinder and I did't have it in stock I would yank it off a lot tractor to get him going especially if he is a farmer and needs it for his lively hood.
Same with the clutch I would have had that shipped next day air.
You can't be with out 1 tractor for a couple of days let along 3:eek:

Until now I've had no issues with dealer support. The dealer does not have another 3316 on the lot and as I understand it this is a new type of cylinder? Are there other models that the cylinders would interchange on? I am still scratching my head as to what's going on. I know the dealer has even been in touch with KMW to get the cylinder, but still no cylinder. I'm not in such a hurry on the 6000, but I really need that 3316 backhoe for this building project.

You are probably the last person in the world that Mahindra wants to have a bad experience. Hopefully things turn around for ya! I am curious about the clutch as well. That doesn't seem like it lasted very long.

I loaned the tractor to a friend when it was new (200 hours) and the clutch was never the same again. I'd assume he got it hot. We nursed it this long, but finally it's gone. My latest call to the dealer resulted in no news on the 3316, but the clutch is in the 6000 and it's ready to go. Just my luck for the one I really need to be down and the one I can live without to be ready.

I'd go and get the 3316 and tell him to call when the loader cylinder comes in.
You can still use the backhoe with a bad loader cylinder, right?

Had I known it would take this long I would have taken it to a local hydraulic specialist and had them fix it. Out some change, but back in service. I didn't take the whole tractor, just the cylinder. The loader curl cylinder was weeping pretty good.
I'm told this is a Monarch cylinder. Is there something special about this brand? I know you have to have the repair kit to even take it apart.

I can't think of one good reason that the cylinder hasn't been sent overnight from KMW. Maybe there is one, but I can't think of it. How long has the dealer had the bad cylinder?
