Hey all,
Signed up for a very specific reason. I live primarily in Georgia, but bought a lake house in Alabama. The first thing I did was had a concrete cart-type path put down through the property, and a concrete patio put in. A two-tier floating aluminum dock is on order and was scheduled to be installed next month (probably wishful thinking at this point, thanks to our friend, Coronavirus).
I definitely plan within the next year to purchase some sort of runabout vehicle, to take the grandkids to feed the neighbors farm animals, visit other neighbors etc. It really wont be doing a lot of hard 'work', mostly just tooling around the neighborhood. Definitely need at least a 4-seater. The challenge is this (maybe). The concrete path that I put in is mostly a slope of about 11 degrees. In one small section, it actually gets as steep as 17 degrees. I have no experience with rtv's, etc, but the Kubota one that I was looking at was the 1140. I'm considering other options, such as the Kawasaki Mule, Honda Pioneer etc. My main concern is with how steep the grade is. Will any of the ones I've mentioned laugh at 17 degrees as being steep, or could it really be a challenge for any, or all of them? I can't find anything online to tell me what their 'limits' may be, and I'm sure a manufacturer wouldn't say for liability reasons. It looks like there are places that rent the Kubota, so I have thought about doing that for a few days.
Enjoying reading the posts so far, primarily on the 1140. For the record, I did try the 'search' feature for my concern, but didn't come up with any hits.
Thanks in advance
