Does anyone recognize the brand of oil filters sold by MOWTOWN USA.

Briggs & Stratton Oil filters

I was looking for an aftermarket oil filter for our Briggs & Stratton engines that would not break the bank and had the same OEM specs, especially the built in relief valve pressure. These are priced right just wondering about others experience and quality.

The web site offers both the original B&S oil filter and the aftermarket filter for the same price. If you have concerns about the aftermarket unit why not just buy the B&S?

The pictures and text don't indicate the manufacturer of the aftermarket filters. Why take a chance on a $5 filter?

WIX / NAPA lists a 1348 to fit the Briggs. It sells for about $3.89. I checked into WIX for my tractors and it was rated by independent labs as one of the best. Just food for thought.

I prefer Wix/NAPA Gold for aftermarket filters. They can usually be bought for < $6 from NAPA or O'Reilly auto parts.

The B&S (and Kohlers, and others) use a very common thread/gasket size; there are a pile of filters out there that'll work. The PH7575/PH3600/PH3614/L10241/FL400S and a wide variety of others are readily available for $2.50-4.00 at many places. Some of them are longer than the OEM, but, the advantage is they stick out further, so they're easier to reach next time!! :thumbsup:
