I am going to install one brand or another multi point or port fuel injection on my small block chevy 383cube vortec head, torque stroker in my 1985 suburban.
I am considering Edelbrock's system, Holleys system that resembles GM's TPI, and one other- Mass Flo, the only one that uses a mass air system as opposed to a map/vacuum sensor for determining fuel calculation.
I am a career mechanic and have posed this question on a mechanics forum and mostly got the thumbs up on the Edelbrock and some trying to convince me that using a throttle body or TPI setup taken from a wrecking yard was the best bet. The wrecking yard setup may work and end up cheaper but its not what I want.
I am just looking for opinions from those who have installed Edelbrock, Holley w the Commander 950 computer or Mass Flo system.
Would you use it again?
The upsides and down sides?
Cant get too many been there/ done thats on a system thats over $2K.
