Is there someone out there who makes aftermarket baggers for riding lawn mowers?

I picked up a Toro 266-H on the cheap the other day, but it doesn't have a bagger, nor does Toro still offer that model of bagger.

The mower is actually really pretty nice. There are a lot of dings and scratches on it, and I had to pull the guts out of the fuel shut-off solenoid to get it running. But, the engine seems really solid, and it feels like a pretty heafty lawn tractor. It has a cast axle, pedal hydro, larger rear tires and a pretty tight turning radius.

Now if only I could get a bagger for it and maybe a snowblower.

Well, I'm seeing new baggers on E-bay for as little as $60.0 (3-bin Craftsman) and used Cub Cadet and others in the $50's. That price might be cheap enough to take a chance on being able to adapt one to your mower, maybe? Maybe just a slight modification where it attaches to the deck discharge, and adjust the bag hanger brackets to fit. You'll need the high lift blades (wings on end of blades) too. (At least my MTD Wards mower w/ 38-in. deck had them, and it was a very good, efficient bagging setup.)

I guess I could consider adapting a bagger from another make of mower.

I just had my head around someone like Bercomac or agrifab would have a bagger as well as other attachments that was more universal.

Have you considered a lawn sweeper? Garanteed to fit and work, and can be had brand new for between $100 to $250 depending on how much quality you need. Only down side is that it increases your seat time because you sweep after you mow.

I actually borrowed a sweeper from a friend last year and I was seriously underwhelmed at the performance. The whole bagger thing is a 'Keep the grass of the floor in the house' measure.
