I have seen a few places offering aftermarket tracks for ASVs. Has anyone use a non-ASV set of tracks?

I was quoted 4600 for a set, a little under 2000 less then the factory ASV tracks.

I had to purchase a set last year, I was told ASV & CAT did not allow others to copy their design. I looked hard. I did not want to pay 3,000.00 per track. I wish you luck. It would be great to find anything that would save a few thousand $$$$.

The more I read they might be OEM just at a much better price. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what the deal is. If they are OEM ASV tracks the price is very good.

My advice is "you get what you pay for". A friend of mine up here in WI bought a set from a company down south- I think it was from rubber tracks USA but the tracks wouldn't even fit on his machine so they sent him another set. this set fit (just barely) but by the way that they look they won't last 500hours. His first set lasted nearly 1700. I think the brand was DRB (South Korean but they're made in China).

Just curious how many hours on your machine? I am looking at an ASV and one thing the dealer told me was Skid Steers tires go quickly around 1000hours BUT the track units last until around 4000 hours which seems alittle high to me.

I think camoplast was supposed to come out with a "out of patent" design in the last month or so. so that might be what they are speaking of. jason at trackworks1.com was the person who gave me that info...

rtdiggr- if someone is telling you that you can get 4000 hrs out of a set of tracks - especially ASV/Cat tracks- then I would find a different salesmen- cause that person is not very truthful- I use 1000 hrs as a better guestimate...
I think quickdraw has a little over 1000 hrs on his...

$8-10 per hour of operation is a decent average...

Rubber Tracks USA is who I was quoted from on a OEM set of tracks for ASV.
I think it was under $2000 a side. It was cheaper than ASV price for sure. I went with a fix instead of repalcement. I just had some lugs rip off one of my tracks, about 12 in a row. The replacement lugs working great so far!!
So try them quickdraw, they are in Atlanta - 866-900-1790

You would indeed be doing something to get 4000 hours from a set of tracks especially if you take it in the woods or over concrete and gravel...I would say that for mulchers 1500-1800 with good upkeep...but I have seen a few that are trashed in a couple hundred hours and a few others that have lasted 2500+ working in dirt...I think that more than anything else it depends on the operator and the maintenance done on them
