Who else is going out to hit the stores tomorrow morning to score on post-holiday sales? As a retiree, I don't have to return to work after overeating and/or overspending during the weekend, so I am rested and ready to go out and scoop up the real buys.

How about you??

We already spent our holiday money!:laughing::D

To be honest we do most of our shopping online anyway. With cheap or free shipping we can get most things delivered easier than going to the brick and mortar store.

Day after shopping almost as bad in our area...I'll just stay on the hill side and putter.

So do we. I use to have an issue with this and the whole keeping it local but ya know what, it's local for somebody.

Our budget has almost been exhausted for this month. I will spend tomorrow buying fuel to burn my burnpile and gathering everything else so I can start burning Tuesday morning at daybreak. I do have one State lottery ticket that I bought last week and haven't checked it yet. Maybe I will get some extra money that way, but I sincerely doubt it.:D Hope everyone has a great Christmas.

Me. Not looking for anything particular but need to get out of the 'cabin fever' climate :)

I watched the evolution of after sales. The sales used to be great because if you didnt have a reciept they would use the current price, and if its on sale then the store would win. But with the rise in popularity of the gift card the sales have been so-so.

real tough to say- wifey gotta work today and I gotta chauffeur my kids around for practice. I wont be surprised to see my wife sneak in a peak in stores since she works in the mall anyways.

Ok, Day After Christmas. The Grandparents just left with the GrandKids to go to the sales! Poor Grandpa, he hates going shopping but what he will do for his GrandKids! :D

I get email from Sears and today they sent me another sales notification....

We need a new clothes washer so I have been looking at sales.

Weeks ago I started a spreadsheet to track the models we liked, retailer, and price. Sears has a "great" sale right now. UP TO 25% off for Kenmore and another 15% if using a Sears card. UP TO is the key words.

Sounded like this was a good price so I check the spreadsheet. :D The prices with the after Christmas sale are higher than the pre Christmas sales. The sale was anywhere from $42 to $140 more than last time.

We will wait. At least until the price goes back down to the lowest point.

Boxing Day is a day in the house for me.

I could barely get out my bed this morning due to tiredness from hardly any sleep, and stomach pains from eating too much for Christmas Dinner!

A few Rennies later and I'm feeling pretty much back to normal, but I'm still staying inside.

Besides, these days you can grab Boxing Day sales online, as my mother did earlier today.

Did go to wal-mart to get tyres on my truck boxing day and was shocked to see most other big stores shut !

That's a common tactic...mark the prices up and then announce a huge sale. We had been looking for a 25 cubic foot French door fridge since May, and when Sears had a super deal at about $1199 the middle of the year, I checked to see if anyplace else was selling something comparable for less...and checked prices going back 4 months. Nothing anyplace, so we purchased, and still I have not found anything selling within $200 more of the price we paid. You may d--- the internet, but it is a wonderful method of price checking and comparing.

The only things I like to buy just after Christmas are lights/decorations/etc.. I try to wait until after the first of the year to go and look for real bargains on some higher-ticket items. The truth is that I don't need much and am far better off staying home and away from temptation. Every time I think I'm immune to getting suckered into buying something, I go to the store and see something I just can't pass up. I'm far better off staying home and convincing myself that I'm happy with just what I have now.:D
