Yanmar AF33D
I have a reputable importer getting me a AF33F Super Forte, fitted with new loader. What does the F mean, I have only seen D on net. It is the first of this model he has imported. It is for a small vineyard and clearing small timber. How do I find its age? Are parts more difficult for newer model? What model was it's predecesser and is it similar. Any comments on this model. Is it better than Iseki TK33 which I was looking for?
Where can I get an English operators manual for this model?

Welcome...

and sorry, I know very little about the AF series tractors. Someone should correct me if I'm wrong but the Yanmar gray market series tractors start with the YM, then the F, FX, Ke and the latest or newer models are the AF series which are around 1996 and newer.

Knowing the exact age of gray market Yanmar tractors isn't commonly known on the newer models and I'd think your reputable dealer should have an approximate year. He should also be able to supply you with regular maintenance items (fuel, oil, air and hydraulic filters) and have a well established connection in Japan should you need something of a more serious nature. Even then it may take weeks to acquire and ship. Which doesn't happen too often with the earlier models as they are well stocked and readily available by dealers here... Will your dealer offer a warranty?

I believe the loader is probably a Kanzaki model and it should work well in your vineyard. I have a picture of an AF24 (D) and would assume the AF33 is a bit larger. Hope others here have more to offer and here's a picture of the AF24 just in case you don't know what they look like - Good luck. ---:

I tried to buy an AF33 from a dealer on the West Coast (USA) but he was reluctant because of distance and he likes to be able to service anything he sells. I don't really need that kind of support but he has his business model and there's nothing wrong with sticking to your guns.

They are nice machines but I too know little about them. I was told parts for them (state-side) are hard to get sometimes but not impossible. I don't know for sure what the "F" stands for. Sorry.

Thank you for your replies and advice. I am getting a warranty but I have to check the details. The dealer is promising consumable parts and access to other parts. He has imported for over 10 years, mainly Iseki, but prefers Yanmars, and wants to transition to this model as they become available. Hence I now realise as one of the first AF's I could be waiting for parts when I need them. On the plus side there are many good tractor mechanics in my area where John Deere is popular, so if they can work out equivalent model, this might be an avenue.
Main interest now is in an operating manual. Checking US sites I don't think I'll find one. When tractor arrives I will explore manual for earlier model with similar engine/transmission, or John Deere.

That's a nice looking newer tractor. If parts were not a problem, I would love to have one

Operators manual is not available nor is a maintenance manual. Parts manuals are available though but are quite expensive. The AF model was a new design and didn稚 follow any prior model lineup. The offshoot low budget model was the US30D and US33D. The AF series was replaced by the Eco friendly RS series. The EF and EG series replaced the RS.

F denotes field version vs. rice version. The RS33D would be a better model for your vineyard since it has the option to go much narrower if desired.

Should have 88 degree power steering with selectable double speed front axle. Don稚 use the double speed with the loader attached it will destroy itself and be wicked dangerous to boot.

It will have a 5 speed PTO with one reverse gear. Auto level, auto raise and quick raise 3 point.

All parts are available but most non consumables will have to come from Japan.

Very informative thankyou Buck. Width probably not a problem with 2.5m rows, anyway I try to use mule and ATV whenever possible in midrows. I will be wary of the double speed front axle as you suggest. Where could I get parts manual? I think would be helpful if I need to replace a part.

Have you tried Hoye or fredricks? If so and no luck try Sheffers Town and Country. Sheaffer's Town & Country Tractor
My research shows your tractor with a 3tns84 engine. Is that correct? Just curious, where did you buy this? Individual or dealer?
