Does anyone have any experience with Aeschliman Equipment in Whitmore Lake MI? They look like a decent shop, but they are the only LS dealer in my area, so I want to make sure they are reputable before I buy into the brand. The other tractor I am considering is a Kubota, and there are plenty of other shops around if I have issues with them, or they drop the brand for some reason. I like the LS tractors, but I don't want to be stuck with a bad dealer, or no dealer in the area. I looked around online and couldn't find any real reviews of them.

For the same reasons you state, I use D&G in Howell, Milford, Williamston, etc. They are a green dealer for tractor and hay baler, but they always help me. A lot of my stuff is ag-line, but they can deal with it. Flint Ford/New Holland is good, but a longer drive. (I have NH hay mower, hay rake, stack wagon). Ebay sellers also have tractor parts and supplies (glow plugs, blades, bearings, tires, etc. D&G also has an ebay store for used stuff. These brands have parts books on-line, too, so I can check out part numbers, accessories, and assembly schemes.

I stopped by Aeschliman and got a quote. Good people and I would certainly go back if needed, but I was able to get a better deal up at Paul's Tractor in Clio.

Thank you for the feedback. It is good to know that there is another dealer that isn't too far away. The LS site must only return the closest dealer when you search. Aeschliman seems nice, and being so close I will probably buy from them even if it is slightly more. My main concern was that I might be 200 miles from another LS dealer if they dropped the line, but if it is 70 miles straight up the highway I could deal with that if something major happened in the future.

Just a note. Paul (from Paul's Tractor) was a decent enough guy. But he's a bit "old school", if you buy from him I have no doubt he'll bend over backward to help you out. But if you don't, he will still probably help, but I wouldn't expect him to go out of his way if he doesn't "have" to.

*EDIT* Also of note, don't forget (depending on what the issue/need is) that many of the New Holland's are just rebranded LS's (there's a list somewhere in the forum of what's what). So if you need a filter/part they are also a possibility, and there are a few more of those around too (Flint New Holland and Foote Tractor are 2 I can think of off the top of my head)

For what is worth there was a post in regards to this dealer in the general forums, buying, under Test drive and dealer interview thread. You may want to take a look.
I have no personal information one way or the other. Just referencing a thread I read.

Thanks, that was my thread there too. I am a little unsure how to continue now. It sounds like there is probably a better dealer that is about 50 miles north of me, but I can practically walk to Aeschliman Equipment from my new house, so I will probably try my luck with them anyway.
