Advice needed on Tie Rod Boot Replacement 4300

Has anyone had to replace a tie rod boot. I tore mine on an old piece of barb wire and need to replace it.

What is the best method to separate the ball joint and replace the seal.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The best way that I found thru the years is as follows: I loosen the nut & back it off so that it is just about threaded off first. Then take 2 good size hammers & hold 1 tight up against one side of the knuckle where the tie rod goes thru & swing hard with the other on the opposite side; 1 or 2 whacks & out pops the tie rod. That easy !! Good Luck
