Ads- Where will it end?

Think telemarketers, spam and popup ads are bad? Maybe you're offended by all the bill boards, Junk mail and bus ads. Every count all the Nike swooshes in a pile of basketball players scrambling for the ball? It may get worse.

Its apparent that , to a lot of corporations and people, life is nothing but one big opportunity to sell something. I joke with my fishing buddies that one of these days, the full moon coming up over the lake is going to have an ear to ear Nike swoosh on its face. Some jerk will figure out how to project a laser to make the moon into a giant billboard. Well, I hope they see todays CNN website. A link is attached.

Don't laugh... they sell a kit so that you can tag your own fish and release them. How'd you like to be fishing and catch a fish with a tag on it that says Joe Blow already caught this fish? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

it strikes me as sort of self defeating. The greatest market is in highly populated areas that can't see the sky at night due to light pollution. Far out in the country is where people are that have wanted to get away from this sort of thing and way way out where the sky really shines at night there is only the deer and the buffalo roaming to see it.
