Each time I reinstall my 62C mower to the JD 2305 tractor, I also check the side-to-side level (using the JD leveling gauge). However, each time, I find a difference in the left and right blade. So I adjust the yoke on one of the lift arms.

Does it make sense that I have a difference in the level each time? I never touch the lift arms when I remove the mower. It gets to be a chore to mess with the yoke and then hooking back up. Any thoughts? Is this normal?

Thanks for all feedback.

My experience with the 62C mower, but on an X485 tractor has been different. I used to frequently check the mower level as you describe not only when reinstalling it but from time to time while it was installed. I had this tractor and MMM for 4 years and never once had to adjust the yokes or the front arms. On one occasion air in one rear tire was low causing out of level blades and was easily fixed by inflating tire. Make sure your tires have correct air pressure. A bent blade(s) will also cause problems with level.
Care must also be taken when using the JD Level Gage and I always used the same area of concrete floor in my garage when checking level.
I don't think it is normal to be constantly adjusting the deck for level.

Don't have a deck on my 2210 but had a 60" on a 455 that used a very similar deck lift and once it was set, it was set. Never gave me a problem and the deck was installed and removed every time I mowed. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Come to think of it, I'll take that crooked deck off your hands to save you the aggravation:D You know, to help you out..

I don't think I've (ever) adjusted the front Yoke on my 2305/62C in three years. I think I checked it once and I have on occasion leveled it side to side but I don't need to every time I dismount and mount the deck.

My 72"MMM on my 3720 now is a different story. I invent new curse words every time I go to put that on and have to pretty much re-adjust almost everything every time.. :(

I sympathize with you on install and removal of 7 Iron 72" mmm on 3720. I absolutely dread doing it -- especially those rear yokes & it is a very heavy deck to move.
However, I have never had to readjust the level on it and I do check it with the JD Level Gage several times a year. My biggest beef with this mower is it will not raise high enough with the smaller R4 tires.

I don't necessarily have to re-level it all the time, but I do check it with the gauge. being off the machine the yokes rotate and I am 'usually' off a bit.

What's a pain is reaching under the tractor to hook up those silly yokes. (I have 6" wheel extenders and wide turfs also) - What a pain.

Also, when I have to unscrew the lead screw all the way to get the deck to drop I lose
my cutting height and there is no gauge on that. On the 2305 I have that great height
adjustment/lock/install knob. Pop the deck back on, raise it, dial in my previously set height and go.

I agree that the deck doesn't go high enough. That's why I've abandoned it for an 84"RFM except when I need to do material collection. It is a great cutting deck, just a pain to put on/off. If I was using my tractor exclusively for mowing it and leaving the deck on it would be great. (That would be an awfully expensive lawn mower though...) :)

If I can buy a rear only collection system (I've seen powered auto-dump systems like this http://www.turfmasterindustries.ca/) I'll sell the 72" MMM in a heartbeat.

When removing the mower, I insert approx 18" copper rod (#8 wire) through the yoke holes which keeps them from turning. I also do the same for the front adjustment rods.

No kidding, i just put on a set of front draft arms and had to wrestle with that 7 iron:(, I resorted to a rubber hammer and it did not work LOL! I finally got it by wiggling it.
