additional gauges

Hello GC owners looking to install set of aftermarket gauges, such as oil pressure, water temp, etc. any experience in this project? is the standard fittings supplied with gauges the correct size to fit GC engine blocks?

no idea on oil pressure but doesn't your 2400 (listed in signature) have temp gauge? or are you looking to install one that uses actual figures instead of the cold to warm range?

From years of experience, it's probably a no on will universal gauge fitting work you your tractor .... Each and ever "connection" will probably have to be custom sized to fit the "hardware" of gauge and tractor...

I put an aftermarket temp gauge on mine, a typical car version with a 2" bezel. On the 2300, there's actually a hole already there, in the center of the instrument panel, just covered by the stick-on plastic cover. Was it the 2400-series that had a completely new instrument panel? (And didn't they come with a temp gauge?)

That was a number of years ago, however, and the gauge eventually quit - there was moisture under the glass, as it wasn't really designed for mounting in an exposed location-- but installation was straightforward. One of these days I'll replace it, I guess.

yeah my 2010 gc2400 has actual temp gauge (no actual deg markings just cold to hot) which is why I had asked earlier.

yes my 2009 GC2400 has a factory cold to hot gauge but it fluctuates between not working at all to showing only cold reading on gauge I was thinking rather than looking at huge cost for complete panel replacement just add a actual temp gauge and ad oil pressure and alternator charge gauge but concerned block fittings will not be standard sizes.

I'd check/change the sending unit before going through all that. I have connection issues on mine where it never changes or sometimes starts to rise and stops. cleaning dust out of connector on top of engine helps for few weeks.

Roger that on cleaning connection between sending unit and wire!, did so few months back I will do more through cleaning see if gauge will start working again, also will check price at Massey dealer of sending unit. will continue to explore a 3 gauge set for more accurate info and look good too! Thanks for respondent's

MY GC 1715 arrived new with non functioning temp gauge, found out it was simple loose screws on back of gauge where gauge terminals connected with printed circuit board... Some thing you might check...

Thank you for suggestion to check connection at back of gauge panel! still curious about installing 3 gauge set any other gc owners been down this bunny trail in regards to gauge fittings matching threads in engine block?
