Hi Folks

This is my first post so the topic may be covered previously. I want to add a work light to the rear of my new (2 year old now) Koti CK27 for snow blowing. I noticed three wires below the rear right hand side fender. One wire of a pair has a red wire with female cylindrical connector, the black wire of the pair has a male cylindrical connector, each is on about 3' of wire from factory bundle. The other wire and connector is a rectangular connector and not part of the pair. Does anyone know if these wires are available for this purpose, if the red wire is positive and black is negative or grounded? Also is the hot wire energized when the key is on or when lights are on. Is there a switch position available to control a work light. Thanks for any assistance.

Just ignore the rectangular connector as you will never find a complimentary plug for it anyway. Use the other two wires you found back there at right rear corner just below the tool box shelf. Those 2 wires have the cylindrical "bullet" style plug connectors and are for a rear work light. Not switched, so you need to add a switch with the lights.

Some lights have a switch built right in to the back of the housing. I'm going to add one to my tractor for snow blowing too. I was wondering if it would be better to mount the light high up on the rops or behind the seat (where most are located) or something remote on the blower itself - seems like blowing snow at night may glare quite a bit.

I put mine on top of the ROP and promptly busted it going into the barn, so now it is on the underside of the ROP. "We get too soon old and too late smart"

Just ran the wire down the ROP taped a little inline toggle switch to the back of the ROP and it works great. No holes drilled, used 2" square type U bolts to attach the light.

Thanks for your help Fuggley, next time I'm in town I will pick up a set of corresponding connectors and probably just mount the light where the existing holes in the support plate are.

Male .157" bullet connectors like this seem to work ok.
