I am trying to figure out how to add a single set of rear hydraulic ports to my B7500. I have been doing a lot of reading in these forums and I think I've got it figured out but I am hoping someone out there can reassure my thinking.

The mechanicals are easy, I plan to mount a single SCV on the ROPS with the appropriate hose adapters to hook into a single hydraulic cylinder ( I could just as easily do a dual setup, but I don't think I will use it.) My question is the hydraulic plumbing. I currently have a LA302 loader installed on the tractor with all of the normal hydraulic plumbing. I know I need a "Power Beyond" type of control valve for the rear. I am thinking that the "Power Beyond" hose from the loader CV should be connected to the inlet of the rear CV, the PB hose from the rear CV should go back to the PB port on the tractor hydraulic block (this is where the current loader PB hose is connected), and the out hose of the rear CV should be tee'd into the current loader out hose with both going back to the hydraulic tank inlet of the tractor. Is this the correct setup?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Mark S, you've got it. I guess you could say that's the "right" way to do it so that everything will work all the time simultaneously. The "simpler" way to do it is a hose from the PB port on the loader CV to the inlet port on the rear CV and a hose from the outlet port on the rear CV back to the tractor where your PB hose now goes. That way the rear CV does NOT need to be a PB valve (but it absolutely MUST be an open centered valve), and you have less plumbing, few hoses, and lower cost. The only drawback (if there is one) is that you will not be able to simultaneously raise the 3-point hitch while moving the rear CV lever. I went the simple route because I only have one right hand so I can't use both the 3-point AND the rear valve levers at the same time anyway, and can't imagine needing to do so, and having to turn in the seat to get both hands over to the right at the same time./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I'm using a two spool valve, and it is a PB valve with the PB port plugged. It came that way and you have to have an optional (different) fitting if you intend to use the PB port.

The hose hook up is correct./w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif You will soon be adding Top & Tilt cylinders and another valve./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
