Viewing the attached hydraulic diagram of my machine, and the diagram for the "auxiliary" hydraulic kit (which I don't have), where would you tie in a supply and return for a new valve?

I want to set up a valve with some quick connections on my loader arm for a grapple and auger. (both factory options, but long since unavailable as direct bolt in)

Thanks!

It doesn't look like you have a PB port, so you would have to add a valve with PB before the FEL valve. The new valve would be the aux circuit. You could probably use something like this that has PB.

Attached is a schematic of the actual loader valve. So this doesn't have a PB port, and the return port cannot be used as such?

I'm curious what #37 is. It is right next to the 'out'.

Thanks!

What does your parts manual say about that plug. It could just be another tank outlet . Are there any marking by that plug or port.

A lot of valves have two IN/pressure ports and OUT/tank ports.

Who makes the valve and what is the model number?

Can you show a picture of the side port?

Looks like it says "Grasser hydraulics" on the body, and the only number I see stamped is "J6"

Pictures attached.

Thanks!

Item #45 in the second (right) drawing with an auxiliary valve added looks like it may be power beyond sleeve, plus there is a second tank valve added to the main valve. Look into that item descripriton, see if it is available. I think JJ has best idea. Your going to have to get an auxiliary valve anyway so get one with Power Beyond in it and hook up ahead of the main valve.

It could be a PB outlet, but the only way to tell is to take the plug out and see if the OUT port is open to the side port. If it is, a PB insert would block off the gallery between the OUT and the PB port. Maybe if you cleaned it up a bit you might see some more marking.

Does the parts manual offer a PB option. or suggest what the plug is for.

I just looked in the book for my loader, and my loader valve is a Cessna, and it looks very similar to yours. The plug on the end of my valve is a PB outlet.

If #19 is your aux valve, you should have outlets on the front of the loader. The output from the aux valves would feed an auger, or a grapple.

My skid wasn't ordered with the aux kit, so I don't have any of that.

Perhaps I will just get a valve and put it in before the main loader valve as you suggested. I would use the PB port rather than the Tank port on the new valve to feed the loader valve, correct?

This machine was made by Erickson from 1969 until I think the early 80s. It was a model LC4D, then Ford picked it up and called it the Ford CL340, then it became a new holland. Mine is a 1976 Erickson branded model.

It's a neat little machine, 30hp wisconsin vh4d, 57" bucket.

I think the second drawing is for "optional kit" that is not on the loader. In photos of the valve you can see the retrun hose is secured with hose clamp, so no pressure, but just below it on the left side is a large Hex head plug. This would be where the PB sleeve would go in for supply to the aux valve.
