Adding hydraulic In/outs to front of JD 855

Initially, I can handle disconnecting the service that I will not be using and connecting the one I want to use. While this might be a little inelegant, it will make my 855 so much more productive than currently. On Day 1, I plan to use all 4 lines at the front- 2 to power the hydraulic ram on the 3-pt hitch I am adding, and the other 2 to power a forklift mast that I will be connecting to the 3-pt. At the same time, I will still be able to mount a transport box on the rear 3-pt which is controlled via the rock shaft lever.

I will need to work out the most usable permutations that will suit usage of my other implements, such as logsplitter, hydraulic chainsaw and flail mower (which is hydraulically driven, 3-pt mounted and reversible so can be mounted on front or rear).

Can't wait to work it all out :)

The front axle of the 855 is a known weak point... both the final drives and the ring & pinion gear in the front differential are not likely to last long if you mount a forklift mast to the front of the tractor. That's just too much weight on the puny little front axle. You would be much better off to mount the forklift on the rear 3pt hitch.
