Hi there, the ford 6600 is a bit slow in the hydraulic department and I was having some ideas about using a ford 3000 engine mounted pump as an auxillary "booster" How could I go about teeing into the system for inlet and pressure on the auxillary pump? I have got a hydraulic block manifold that goes under the dual spool valve under the seat, could I tee into this somehow, any thoughts or suggesions from your experiance would be most appriecated..

those machines use an internal pump aft of the trans.. kinda hard to mess around with. are you saying flow for the 3pt is inadequate? or do you have some real hyd monster on the remotes? If using a loader what about a pto pump and a self contained hyd setup for it?

Are you talking about the engine mounted pump that runs off the front of the tractor. If so why not just use that to run your hydraulics. Forget about tee's and such. You will need to put a reservoir someplace for the fluid and all the stuff to mount the pump but it sounds like you should already have that.

Hi there, Hydraulics adequate for 3ptl work and most loader stuff, but The hydraulic round bale feeder I use hogs a fair bit to run efficently, really needs 12 Gals/min I think it does around 8gal/min at the mo? The hydraulic pump I was thinking of using is a standard ford 3000 pump which I would mount on rear of motor run off the gear that is installed off the camshaft, My idea was to bolster the main system flow with the 3000 pump to get flow to an acceptable level, Just not sure how to go about it really, some models had both an auxillary and the plessey/sundstrand pump(internal) running in unison,so there must be a way....

hmm.. I know my 7610s has a blankout for an aux pump. this is probably one of those questiuons rickb will need to chime in on.

the hyd system on the 5000+ is quite a bit different than the 00/01 and N hyds I have more experience with.
