Kioti CK30
Hey everyone, looking for a little help. Wondering if anyone could tell me is there an easy way to hook up a 7pin trailer connector to the tractor? I remember seeing a discussion but came up short with the search, probalby did it wrong. But is there an existing wire I can hook up to? Also do I have to worry about goofing up the tractor wiring for the extra load of the trailer lights? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The kids are hoping for a tractor hay ride come Halloween and I figured piece of cake, but that was before I realized the connector isn't there.
thanks

I hooked up a 4way to my B21 last year. I connected right, left and running lights to a work light power line that is on whenever the ignition is on. It had enough amperage to run all the lights on a 10' trailer. This had all the lights on the trailer on all the time.

If you want to have the lights work correctly then I believe you will have to splice into each of the existing wires for lights on your tractor. If your trailer has LED lights the additional load will be much less than traditional bulbs.

There is a Kit that the larger Kioti tractors had on them and you could buy it as just the kit.
It is a part # 322016 7 pin trailer plug kit.
Give Jeff from Browines Tractor a shout out. He is on here and goes by BTI
Have him check out one of the CK's and see if they are prewired (I can't remember)
You will need the kit and then we just made an adapter to go from their 7 pin round to a standard 7 pin blade.

I did this recently on my CK20S. Kioti offers a bracket and plug, individually. The bracket is reasonably priced (~$10?) but the plug was very expensive and is a unique agricultural plug, so you would have to also buy the male connector and then adapt it to a standard 7-pin RV connector.

I ended up cutting off the connector from the harness that's already on the tractor and wiring it up to a 7-pin (RV) connector.

FYI Kioti (and probably all agricultural wiring) uses individual wires for brakes and each turn signal. A traditional truck/trailer setup combines these signals with a module on the tow vehicle (one wire would be left turn/brake, and another would be right turn/brake). To sorta duplicate this I used diodes to combine the signals for each side so that brakes or turn signal would like the trailer lights. To KISS you could just pick one or the other (probably brake?). If you want more information on the diode arrangement I could describe it or come up with a diagram.

I attached the Kioti diagram provided by Michigan Iron & Equipment. As Bob forewarned me the colors don't often match up, hence my writing for what the colors were on my CK20S.

hmmm, i was thinking of adding that to my DK45SE tractor. ill have to ask my dealer if its prewired for it, then order the kit. i only want it for adding some 12v to back of tractor. once my shop manual arrives, i can see if the tractor is prewired for it.

The tractor is pre-wired for a 7-pin socket. Your dealer would have the kit.
