Easy 1 hour mod if you have a 2wd truck. I put it in the space where the 2wd trucks have a coin holder in place of the 4wd switch. In fact the wire harness for the 4wd switch is attached to the coin holder making it easy for the dash lights to be wired. It will be interesting to see how much boost is being made while towing. It maxed at 16 psi right at shift point in my test drive and was at about zero at 60 mph steady. Should have already had one from the factory.

Roush makes a vent pod for about $30 that mounts into any of the vents but you loose loose control of direction and flow with it.

Is there a wastegate on that turbo system ?

If so, what's it set/dump at ?

Yes there is. Not sure what it is supposed to be but mine and many other will briefly peak at 15-16 psi at shift point. Haven't towed yet to see what constant pressure would be.

I would think that 16psi with 3.5L should be enough. My VW 1.8T I set at 22psi (larger turbo than stock) and it would turn 300 ft/lb torque with approx 300 hp.

Are there chips for the EcoBoost to increase the power? That is always the temptations with turbo's....

My powerstroke can do ~28 psi stock. I think the "gauges" section of the ecoboost should have had this built in.....There is a tran temp gauge but no boost gauge.

Also annoying is the fact that there is no battery gauge. I never noticed it until after I had bought the truck.

16 PSI is pretty good for a gasser. Lots of diesels make 30 psi on up. Nice install job, it looks factory almost.

Thanks, it would have looked closer to factory with a black face but I liked the white better. I pushed it on the highway this afternoon empty and it held about 10 constant.

Moved it to the vent after all. It was hard to see with the shift lever in drive. I didn't buy the roush pod. I used six screws to hold it centered.
