I recently picked up an M59 with everything I wanted, except remotes for top and tilt. Is it possible to buy a 3 spool valve and connect it to the backhoe plumbing with quick connectors? I obviously won't be using the remotes with the backhoe connected, and the 3 point raise/lower is separate from the backhoe plumbing (i think). Any reason this wont work, or should I plumb the TnT from another source?

My old L3430 had a single rear remote. I needed 3 for a couple of implements and a t&t kit. I added 2 more by tapping into the backhoe hydraulics. It worked fine on the L series but I can't be sure about the M's.

I used quick connects to route the hyd. flow to a prince 2 spool valve mounted above the right fender. I bought 2 more OEM quick connect mounting blocks and stacked them like the factory configuration for 3 remotes.

You should be able to do the same using a 3 spool valve.

Use caution with your plumbing so as not to block the oil flow in the backhoe circuit or damage to the pump will occur.

I believe that there is a rear remote kit from Kubota for the M59....Is so, it might help to price the rear remote kit from Kubota.
I wonder how much a person can actually save by assembling your own components over buying the Kubota kit and installing it yourself.

I believe that a person would be looking at north of $3400 for the factory rear remotes and the top & tilt set.

I started pricing out the Kubota components, but quit adding up after I got to $1000. Aftermarket DIY bubba job for me!

That should be possible - not easy or simple, but a nice satisfying job for an experienced mechanical guy. I find that a shop manual and parts book are worth the cost for projects. In this case, the shop manual has hydraulic flow diagrams.... not that I'm real good at interpreting those symbols. I like simpler pictures. But at least the info is in there. Somewhere.

I can see two things to think about - one is that as the M59 comes stock there is a handle for a diverter valve back under that rear hinged lid that allows you to either power the 3pt system or the backhoe system - but not both simultaneously. Since you will be using the remotes with a 3pt, you have to splice into the flow before that diverter valve.

The other thing is hydraulic shock. Pulled 3pt implements get hung up on stumps and rocks and when they spring loose there's a sledge hammer force. Not a problem for old-fashioned manual 3pt implements, but with hydraulic top and tilt cylinders holding the implement in position, that snap will send a hydraulic shockwave back through the system. So probably give some thought to damping that shock wave. Near as I can tell from the parts book, the stock remote valves seem to have some sort of pressure relief built in. Maybe for that reason. Keep us posted...
luck,
