I'm getting ready to get some additional accessories for my 2520 and was looking for some recommendations on which brands/models would be best. For the 3 point chipper shredder I am considering the Bearcat or the DR. For a rotary cutter I have pretty much decided on a Land Pride 1548. Although I did consider an 1860 because I will be cutting brush and Sumac up to 2". The dealer recommended the 1548, saying it would handle the same brush as the 1860. I am considering a set of pallet forks. Here the dealer recommends Gearmore JLF-2242. I am still relatively new at this although I have had my Deere for almost a year now. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.:D

I've seen the bearcat chippers in action on the back of a 2520 and it is impressive! Expensive, but impressive!

Good Luck!

I don't know anything about chippers, I did use a lx5 on my 2520 and it worked fine. On the pallet forks, just make sure the forks are not fixed in one position. JC

I've got the lx5 on my 2320 and works great. Just make sure the bucket is on. The only time there may be an issue is when you have it lifted off the ground in transport mode across uneven ground. A little "tail wagging the dog" affect. But by all means go for the large cutter you will thank yourself later.

We recently bought a wallenstein chipper. Very happy with it! We got the bigger one, got it from the dealer for I think $2600, or thereabouts. So far it has been great, chipped through anything we can put through it. You may want to go with the smaller with the smaller horsepower, but I would suggest the larger because unless you are putting lots of hardwoods in it, it will handle it, and it makes it easier to put more "brushy" stuff in it.

Thanks for the input. I agree going with the larger Chipper is the way to go as long as the tractor PTO will handle it. Now all I have to do is decide which way to go and break loose with the $.
