Hi guys,

We're buying a tractor in Huntington Vermont and have chosen to work with Champlain Valley Equipment in Middlebury.

We negotiated a L2501HST with loaded ag tires, a LA525 loader, and QH10 quick hitch for $19,000. We were also quoted $2,052 for a Land Pride RTA1258 rototiller.

Is this a fair deal?

Thanks in advance.

Only my opinions.

Great tractor! I have the 3301. I might have gotten the 2501 with more research back then to stay away from the tier 4 mandates but so far it's been a non issue.

The 0% isn't really. There's a diff between cash and the Kubota finance. No matter what they say.

It's fair but I think it's leaving a little on the table. About 2 grand. I've seen that deal AND get the trailer with it.

I'd try to get the SSQA on the loader.

The KTAC insurance is a good value for the price. Consider it.

Not get the LP quick hitch(prob around 400) Just get the one from harbor freight for 80 bucks. I don't think the 2501 has enough weight/traction/power to break it. My L3301 won't!

The tiller is a fair price but I'm hesitant on buying one based on how much it would actually get used vs buying a used one for half that price since I only plan on a vegetable garden to feed 4 or 5 people for use.

Thanks for the input. Got the SSQA and a block heater included. KTAC insurance was higher than our own current insurance company.

I've also seen the deals you're speaking of with a trailer, but only in the internet. The dealers are in Texas or Oklahoma where they move tons of tractors so the price reduction makes sense. Driving that far to pick it up negates the savings. Have you seen local deals like this?

I've used harbor freight products and the such before and they are junk IMO. I'm buying a $20,000 tractor to be used with 3pt implements. Why cheap out here?

Thats probably not too bad. Last Nov I bought new L3301, SSQA loader, R4 tires, LP 60" rotary cutter, LP 60" box blade & 42" pallet forks. Was right at $23k.

Managed to score a used like-new LP quick hitch for $150. Very handy accessory!

Went with KTAC. While it was higher than adding to home policy, it was only about $100 a year more, but it covers way more on the tractor.

Kubota is pushing the 2501 aggressively right now so deals are good. Additionally, Kubota is having "Field Days" at dealers. Attending one will get you a a coupon code good for another discount (varies per model) that can be added to all other incentives. It was an additional $300 toward the B3350 that I just bought.

Be certain that your dealer passes all incentives through to you. Not all dealers do unless you are knowledgeable.

For the Northeast area, that's about right on the price. I paid about the same, with loaded R4's. Block heater is a must. I mess up on that.

Great tractor. Best money I've ever spent.

by saying loader with SSQA i assume this is what it is called by kubota? HEAVY DUTY FRONT LOADER W/2-LEVER STYLE COUPLER
or they call the bucket this! 66" QUICK ATTACH SQUARE BACK BUCKET

Roger that. Makes tractor much more versatile. Pallet forks are a must. I use them more than the bucket.

That is in the northeast
I feel that is a fair price
