A leak in my B21

   / A leak in my B21 #21
Boy, leaks can be tough to spot if they are R E A L L Y slow. I usually put some chalk dust on the suspect areas (or baby powder if my wife isn't looking) if I can get it to stick.

I've always wondered how ANYTHING ever seals as backhoes and loaders can get a titch dirty at times!

My L35 doesn't drop the hoe or loader of course it's near new. My Ford 1710 didn't when it was new, over time it slowly got the habit. Actually if you are doing something when you are not going to be using the hoe should run with the transport pins installed, it will keep the movement to a minimum and prolong the life of the seal and more importantly the area it is sealing against from wear. I usually put some old socks over my backhoe levers when the pins are in to "remind" me.

And to the 15% increase to get faster service, maybe he is just guessing on what it would cost to up the shipment time from ground to 3 day air or 2 day air or next day air. UPS rates are much higher then they were a few years ago.
