Does anyone know the size of area you can knock some very tall pasture grass with a DR Field brush mower?

Although I cound finance a pretty large tractor with attachments, only want to pay cash, and something always seems to come up. Never could seem to find the right deal on a used tractor and would like to at least take care of some areas out back. Could get the 17HP DR brush mower no problem, and was wondering if anyone has had experience with one. Again, just looking at some very tall grass, nothing to big in diameter (such as saplings), but would like to go the biggest route so when I do need the power for "larger items", it's there.

Sigarms;

I have a DR Brush Mower (17HP). It will cut down anything it can drive/bend/climb over. It has four speeds forward, from crawl to walking speed, and a reverse gear to back out of tight spots. I'm very happy with mind and it will cut 30" swaths all day long. You will be worn out before it even breaks a sweat. I don't think your tall grass will be a problem. Bring up the RPMs, pick the right speed/gear and it can handle it. Good luck.
