I have a 1999 cub cadet 7300 with 800 hours, I was moving some equipment around today with it, and I noticed the grinding noise while backing up
. I’ve pretty much eliminated the front end from the equation and I believe the Driveshaft. I used the loader to pick it up off the ground and turn everything freely and I could not replicate the sound. The sound seems to be more prevalent when I’m backing up and if I’m going a little faster backing up.
I was thinking of jack up the rear end and seeing if I can turn the wheels and replicate the sound that way.
The only thing I can think of would be the brakes. IF it is the brakes, has anybody done them before and can you buy the replacement brakes for them?
Any suggestions or thoughts would be helpful…
